Users may find they are unable to play together in a LAN or Internet multiplayer game, despite having installed the same mods.
Troubleshooting
Some things to try which may resolve this issue include:
- If you are playing in a LAN game, ensure that each member of the party is on the same subnet.
- Verify that each member in the party is running the latest patch. It is not possible to play together if your Major or Minor patch number does not match. See Understanding Patch Versions for more information.
- Ensure that the load order of mods installed is the same. Mod loading order is significant. Meaning that, when selecting mods in the mod launcher, the top-most mod in the loading list will take precedence. This means that if two mods are in conflict, changing the same portions of the game, the portions changed by the top-most mod will be what appears in the game, while only the portions not in conflict with the top mod will appear in the game.
- Are you playing with a mod pack, or did you package your own mods? Make sure that your mods came from the same source for everyone in your party. See How to Merge Mods for more information.
