How to uninstall Torchlight

For reference, the following are instructions for removing Torchlight from your computer.

Windows

Steam

1. Launch the Steam client.
2. Locate Torchlight in your Games library.
3. Right click and choose "Delete Local Content..."
4. Click "Delete" in the confirmation dialog.

Runic Games downloadable, or Encore retail disc

1. From the Torchlight Start Menu group, run Uninstall Torchlight. This will require administrator permissions.
2. Follow the prompts.
3. Remove the runic games folder in your %appdata% directory.

Mac OS X

Steam

1. Launch the Steam client.
2. Locate Torchlight in your Games library.
3. Right click and choose "Delete Local Content..."
4. Click "Delete" in the confirmation dialog.

Humble Bundle

1. Locate Torchlight.app in your Applications folder and drag it to the Trash.

Linux

Steam

1. Launch the Steam client.
2. Locate Torchlight in your Games library.
3. Right click and choose "Delete Local Content..."
4. Click "Delete" in the confirmation dialog.

Humble Bundle

1. You may just be able to remove this via your default package manager. The installer tries to register itself with the system (remember that we generally expect your system to be similar to Debian/Ubuntu-based), so a command similar to apt-get remove torchlight should work.
2. If not, please note that the game's data (including the binary) is stored in /usr/local/games/Torchlight. Note that the binary may also be stored in /usr/local/bin in certain cases.
