You receive persistent runtime error messages while playing Torchlight.
How to Resolve
Try the following steps:
- Uninstall Torchlight.
- Backup and delete your %appdata%\runic games directory. Game saves, configuration files, and mods are stored here, so make a backup copy first before you remove this folder.If the Hotspot mod manager is installed, please remove it for the purposes of troubleshooting.
- Remove Microsoft Visual C++ runtime libraries from your machine. You can do this from the Control Panel. Please note that you will probably have more than one of the libraries installed.
- Reboot your computer.
- Reinstall Torchlight.
